In 1994, The Bellevue Hospital established a Foundation with the mission to “assist the hospital in the expansion of community health through education and community participation.” As a 501(c)(3) subsidiary corporation, the Foundation oversees all contributions made to The Bellevue Hospital, using them solely for Hospital projects and services while protecting its assets under IRS not-for-profit guidelines.
Contributions can be made through individual annual gifts, corporate donations, employer matching gifts, planned gifts from trusts or wills, and memorial contributions.
Since its founding, the Foundation has completed a capital campaign to build a new hospital, and has funded community outreach programs, staff education, and equipment purchases.
